The Slotermeerlaan area is where real Amsterdammers go about their daily lives, and there’s something refreshing about that. Plus, you can actually get into the city center in about 20 minutes on public transport, which runs pretty regularly from here.

My room was surprisingly spacious by Amsterdam standards — I mean, we’re talking about a city where hotel rooms are usually the size of closets. The design feels contemporary without trying too hard, and everything actually worked properly (you’d be amazed how often that’s not the case). The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with it all night, and the bathroom had decent water pressure.

The hotel has its own restaurant on-site, which turned out to be more useful than I initially thought. After a long day of walking around Amsterdam’s cobblestone streets, sometimes you just want to grab a bite without venturing back out. Very good Good location for the airport, train station and even for the centre (bit further but a direct bus line). The room was nice and clean. Appreciate the self check-in/out option and the coffee/tea machine in the room.
What could be improved: We asked for cleaning on our last day (mainly because of dirty bath mat and a lot of hair in the bathroom). They changed the towels and made the beds, but the bathroom floor stayed the same. Other than that no problem at all. :)

Wasn't the worst I've been in probably wud stay again if we had a room closer to the elevator/stairs I absolutely loved how there was alot of restaurants and shops around the hotel, very convenient, there was a kebab place only 2 doors down from the place and their chicken kebabs were absolutely divine! Chips too! There was also a dominos down the road on the same street and a cake shop and baklava place on the same strip and also a cafe if you walk further down that same street and a smoke shop further ahead then take your left its quite hidden away so its easily missed, , few restaurants and a supermarket across the road from the hotel and markets available in front of it. Theres alot around the hotel so you don't have to look far at all. There's a 369 bus right outside the hotel that goes straight to the airport and so convenient pity we didn't know this and ended up being charged a fortune on a taxi to the hotel... remebee to take the 369 bus from the airport! It stops right outside the hotel! Be warned! There are also busses and trams right around the corner to the left to city centre, we always took the 21 bus to central station and made our way into town from there everyday it was handy enough to get around, you wouldn't walk into central station from the hotel tho as it would take too long... but the bus was convenient enough to central station
What could be improved: I didn't like how our room was almost at the end of the hall on the second floor... the hallways were quite narrow and seemed endless to our hotel room😅 it looked like a small hotel on the outside but it was massive on the inside.. the rooms did look nice when we got there and it was fine for us but the sheets didn't fit the bed properly when untucked, even tho they did the cleaning every day while we were out I noticed they didn't change the sheets once I spilled makeup on the sheets and they were still there the next day so they didn't bother to replace with fresh sheets. Also found a bug in the bathroom.. my partner killed it which was fine but on the last day I woke up with bug bites (yesturday) on my hand and wrist, that wasn't nice. if it wasn't for these things I'd of given 5 stars, not sure if I'd stay here again, I mean the whole experience wasn't that bad and no issues with it till the last day really so🤷 I suppose I cannot really complain the price wasn't too bad for midweek compared to weekend prices but you get that everywhere, even more expensive to stay in the city so
