First Impressions
Walking up to Tulip House Luxury Apartment – Top Location – Rijksmuseum – Leidseplein AMSTERDAM Central 120 m2 ALL Private with kitchen on Lange Leidsedwarsstraat, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the lengthy name. But you know what? This four-star apartment actually lives up to its ambitious title. The building sits right in the thick of things — I mean, you’re literally steps from both the Rijksmuseum and Leidseplein, which is pretty remarkable for Amsterdam. The entrance feels more like stepping into someone’s well-appointed home than a typical hotel, which makes sense given it’s a private apartment setup.
The Space Itself
The 120 square meters really does make a difference — this isn’t one of those cramped Amsterdam spaces where you’re bumping into furniture. The kitchen is fully equipped, which I appreciated since eating out for every meal in Amsterdam can get expensive fast. I actually ended up cooking breakfast most mornings and picking up fresh ingredients from the local markets. The layout flows well, and there’s enough space that couples won’t feel like they’re on top of each other (which explains why couples rate this place so highly, I suppose).
Location Magic
Here’s where this place really shines — that location score of 10.0 isn’t just marketing fluff. You can walk to the Rijksmuseum in about three minutes, maybe less if you’re a fast walker. Leidseplein, with all its restaurants and nightlife, is right around the corner. But what I really loved was how you’re close enough to everything yet tucked away on a quieter side street. Lange Leidsedwarsstraat has this perfect balance — you get the energy of central Amsterdam without the constant tourist crowds right outside your window.
Daily Life Here
The private setup means you’re not dealing with hotel lobby chaos or fighting for elevator space. You get your own keys, come and go as you please, and honestly, it feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in accommodation. The room setup works well for longer stays — there’s actual closet space and places to spread out your stuff. I found myself using the living area in the evenings, which you rarely get with standard hotel rooms. The neighborhood has great coffee spots within a block or two, and there’s a decent grocery store nearby for kitchen essentials.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you the best of both worlds — hotel-level cleanliness and amenities, but with the space and freedom of having your own place. The location really can’t be beat if you want to be in the heart of Amsterdam’s museum district and entertainment area. Sure, the 7.6 rating suggests it’s not perfect (maybe the building shows its age in places), but for couples wanting space to breathe while staying central, it hits the mark. You’re paying for that prime location and the extra square footage, but if those matter to you — and they should in a city like Amsterdam — then it’s worth considering.
Apartments in Amsterdam suit families with canal-facing windows, full kitchens, and sunset bike rides through De Pijp.

What Our Guests Say
Ideal property for staying in Amsterdam as it’s close enough to the main square but far away enough for to take some tim Great location and perfect for our group
What could be improved: People directly upstairs had a very loud party until the early hours of the morning
Excelente estadia numa localização perfeita de Amsterdam Localização perfeita, perto das principais atrações turísticas, rodeado de bares, restaurantes, mercados etc.
Apartamento grande, bem equipado e confortável.
What could be improved: Faltam janelas que possam ser abertas.
Great apartment and location! Great big apartment. The location is fantastic. I would like to live here!
Extremely overpriced and the owner is rude and unhelpful The only really positive thing is the location
What could be improved: 1. It is extremely overpriced and NOT worth the money
2. The owner was unhelpful and non communicative. I tried to get is touch couple of times with some inquiries but never got an answer. When i sent a WhatsApp to number they offered to use i got a very rude answer saying the number is only for emergency (exactly the e opposite of what they wrote in the booking message)
3. The house is very not kids from and is organized in a way that one of the sleeping rooms has a huge window on the street level, so if the curtains are open you are basically in the street (kind of like a shop window)
4. When we arrived the cleaner was still there for another hour, and ahead also arrived 30 minutes before checkout.
All together, i would not come back and will not recommend.
Very good Super emplacement, maison très bien située et équipée.
