The Leidsekade address puts you right in the thick of things — and I can see why couples rate this place so highly for romantic getaways. You’ve got the Vondelpark just a short stroll away, perfect for morning walks, and the Leidseplein nightlife scene is practically on your doorstep. What I really loved though was how you can walk along the canal in either direction and discover those picture-perfect Amsterdam moments — you know, the ones with the narrow houses reflected in the water and bikes parked on every bridge. The tram connections are excellent too, so getting to the Anne Frank House or the Rijksmuseum is surprisingly easy.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had those tall windows that canal houses are famous for, and honestly, waking up to canal views never got old during my stay. The space felt more like a well-designed apartment than a hotel room — there’s something about the proportions and the way everything’s arranged that just feels right. The bathroom was modern without being sterile, and I appreciated the little touches like quality toiletries and thick towels. The staff were genuinely helpful with recommendations — they pointed me toward this amazing brown café around the corner that I never would have found otherwise. Parking can be tricky in this part of Amsterdam, but they’ll help you sort it out if you’re driving.
