First Impressions
Walking up to Amsterdam Red Light Bed & Breakfast on Warmoesstraat, you’re literally stepping into the beating heart of Amsterdam. I mean, this four-star B&B sits right in the thick of everything — and when I say everything, I’m talking about the famous Red Light District itself. The building has that classic Amsterdam narrow-house charm, squeezed between centuries-old neighbors like they’re all holding each other up. It’s honestly refreshing to find a place that embraces its location rather than trying to pretend it’s somewhere else.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about staying right on Warmoesstraat — you’re about two minutes from Dam Square, maybe five from the canals, and literally surrounded by some of the city’s most historic streets. Couples absolutely love it here (they rate the location 9.7, which is pretty incredible), and I get why. You can stumble out for late-night stroopwafels, catch the morning light hitting the canal houses, or just people-watch from what feels like Amsterdam’s front porch. The area gets lively at night — well, that’s putting it mildly — but during the day it’s surprisingly peaceful, with locals heading to work and tourists just starting to discover the maze of tiny streets.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had that perfect balance of cozy and functional that you want in Amsterdam, where space is always at a premium. The windows — and this matters more than you’d think — actually open wide enough to let in proper fresh air, which isn’t always a given in these old buildings. You know what I appreciated? The soundproofing was better than expected, considering you’re literally in one of Europe’s busiest nightlife districts. The beds are comfortable enough that you’ll actually want to sleep in, even when there’s so much happening right outside your door.
Breakfast & Morning Routine
The breakfast setup here feels more personal than your typical hotel spread — it’s that B&B touch that makes the difference. They serve it in a small common area where you’ll probably end up chatting with other travelers about their Amsterdam discoveries. I found myself lingering over coffee longer than usual, partly because the atmosphere was relaxed, but also because stepping outside meant immediately diving into the city’s energy. It’s nice having that gentle transition between your quiet morning and Amsterdam’s full-throttle street life.
Why Guests Love It
Look, staying here isn’t for everyone — if you want to pretend you’re in a quiet residential neighborhood, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to experience Amsterdam without any filters, where you can walk to Anne Frank House, the Royal Palace, or countless brown cafés within minutes, then this place delivers exactly what it promises. The location score of 9.3 isn’t just a number — it reflects that rare feeling of being exactly where you want to be. You’re not commuting to Amsterdam’s highlights; you’re sleeping right in the middle of them.

What Our Guests Say
Everything was superb! Best thing is the location. The property is in the heart of amsterdam where everything is near you. Best thing for people that travel to have some fun. Property somewhat clean, spacious and has two bathrooms and two toilets witch was super great for group of people. Will defenetely be comming back!
Very good Location was perfect, room was spacious, was a bonus having 2 toilets and 2 showers and the staff were friendly too!
Good The place and location
What could be improved: The noise all night long
Exceptional THE APARTMENT IS NEAR FOR EVERYWHERE. CLEAN AND SPACIOUS. THE HOST WAS REALLY NICE.HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PLACE.
Would visit again The location is perfect - close to the busy city center, red light district and walking distance to museums around.
What could be improved: It could be cleaner - the cups were not washed, carpet was dirty, light wasnt working in the bathroom. Also, fun fact, we reserved the room for 4 people (it has 4 beds) but it only had 3 cups :)
Superb Spacious room with 4 single beds, double shower and toilet bathroom, very convenient. Located very centrally so great for tourists. Would recommend.
What could be improved: If I am being nitpicky the stairs up to the apartment were very steep, but this doesn’t affect the fact I’d stay here again.
Exceptional Awesome staff, we felt like home. Spacious, we were 4, and the room felt perfect, two showers, two toilets, and two sinks. There is a small fridge to keep water. We were given 20% discount on drinks at the Durty Nelly's, they have a pool 🎱 table (at the bar) and a great atmosphere.
Near to most important places, especially the red light zone.
What could be improved: Can't complain about anything regarding the room.
Good The location is perfect right in the centre.
What could be improved: There wasn't any breakfast as they say, jut a kettle in the room for you to make tea and coffee. not that clean also
Very good the location was so convenient! friendly and helpful staff. great value for money. comfortable beds and the two showers and toilets were extremely handy !
What could be improved: the floor under the bed was still dirty from I assume the previous guests. very steep stairs but that’s what to expect in amsterdam!
Great location Great location.
2 showers and 2 toilets.
What could be improved: The mini fridge still has the last guest's take away in it.
The showers weren't clean and the water pressure was very weak.
