First Impressions
Walking up to All you need, a comfy place on Pedro de Medinalaan, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t trying to be something it’s not. The name pretty much says it all, honestly — it’s refreshingly straightforward in a city where so many places oversell themselves. This four-star property sits in Amsterdam Zuid, and I mean, the location alone makes it worth considering if you want to be close to the action without dealing with the tourist chaos of the center.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I really appreciate about this spot in Amsterdam — you’re actually in a proper neighborhood where locals live and work, not some sanitized hotel district. The area around Pedro de Medinalaan has that authentic Amsterdam vibe with tree-lined streets and those classic narrow houses. You know what’s great? There’s parking right on site, which honestly is like finding gold in this city. Most places either don’t have it or charge you an arm and a leg for it. Couples seem to really get this location too — they’ve rated it 8.8, and I can see why since you can easily walk to restaurants and cafes that aren’t tourist traps.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from the name — comfortable without any unnecessary frills. The beds are properly firm (not those squishy hotel mattresses that leave you with a backache), and there’s enough space to actually unpack your stuff without feeling cramped. What struck me was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re not far from the main roads. The windows do their job well, and the heating actually works — which, trust me, matters more than you think during Amsterdam’s damp months.
Practical Details
Recent guests have been rating this place 8.5 for location, and after staying here, I totally get it. You’re close enough to hop on public transport easily, but far enough from the madness of Dam Square that you can actually get some peace. The staff keeps things running smoothly without being overly chatty — they’ll help when you need it but won’t hover around trying to upsell you on city tours. There’s a restaurant situation nearby too, though honestly, this area is perfect for just wandering until you find something that looks good.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The 7.7 rating feels about right — it’s solid, reliable, and does what it promises without any drama. What really works here is that it feels like a place where you can just… exist normally for a few days. You’re not constantly reminded that you’re in a hotel, if that makes sense. For couples especially, there’s something nice about having a comfortable base in a real Amsterdam neighborhood rather than being stuck in the tourist bubble downtown.

What Our Guests Say
Cosy and welcoming Our hosts were really nice, welcoming and making sure we have everything we needed. They wanted to help with some additional queries which was really nice and not expected.
I really liked how the space was used and set up with all plates, cutlery. Even if the room is within the family home, we had our privacy and private bathroom, which was great.
Location was a bit far from town, but easy to get around as tram stop was nearby, there were shops nearby as well. Generally, really enjoyed our stay there!
What could be improved: Everything was quite ok, sheets and towels were clean, the bed wasn't the most comfortable one. I would probably expect it would be a bit cleaner, especially the bathroom, but it was all acceptable and ok. The room will be quite tight for four people ( four beds are available, but with limited space for luggage). Considering the prices in Amsterdam for the period we were staying, the place was great.
Good for short stay Small and cozy room. Equipped with microwave oven, kettle and cutlery.
It's a nice spot The host was very welcoming, the location is amazing, around 20 minutes away from Amsterdam Centraal by tram. It's in a quiet area. Good value. It was clean and we were very happy with our stay.
Thank you Michiel
What could be improved: It's situated across from a furniture shop and you can sometimes hear them unloading in the morning but to be fair we did sleep with our windows wide open until like 11am.
Comfortable for a short stay I thought the location was good away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
What could be improved: Nothing really
Very good Clean and comfortable! We got an amazing window view and fresh air circulation. The host was very nice. He even picked us up from the airport to the apartment.
What could be improved: No kitchen, bathroom are separated from the room.
Superb Owner very friendly
Can rent bicycle with owner
Peaceful place
Many beautiful building
What could be improved: Room is bit small for 3 person
Very good The space was in a family home but private. Bed and pillows were confy. The host has very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
What could be improved: It is pretty far from Airport, Train station, and Downton. The public transit commute is ok unless you are traveling early in the morning or late at night - then it sucks and you have to take a cab.
Very good good location. The host is friendly. The area is quiet and safe.
Comfy stay close to city but away from the mess of city. Perfect for a small group. The room comes with one double bed and two single beds on bunks, towels, a desk, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle, silverware and plates, and tea and instant coffee. Made us feel at home. The bathroom is clean and spacious and private for use by guests. Hot water was strong and available at all times. The host got us a new hairdryer too. Big windows overlooking the river so the view was nice to wake up to. The neighbourhood is residential and looked rich. It was always quiet and safe. Tram runs till midnight to the neighbourhood and we believe there is a night bus, so accessibility is superb. Hosts were very helpful, responsive and friendly! Perfect for a group of travelers who want some private place to stay that is not too fancy and expensive while close to city centre.
What could be improved: It was a little chilly in the room in the morning. The double bed has a little dent, causing a little back pain. Everything else was fine.
Very good Michael, Faith and all the family are very nice people, we passed a good time in their house. The transport is very pratical, tramway n'26 directly to the centre.
