The building has this sleek, contemporary feel that’s refreshing after seeing countless traditional Dutch hotels. What really caught my attention was how they’ve managed to create something that feels both modern and welcoming — you know how some new places can feel a bit sterile? Not here.
The Neighborhood Reality
Look, Amsterdam proper is about 15 minutes away by metro, which some people might see as a drawback. But here’s the thing — Diemen actually works in your favor. You’re away from the tourist chaos, parking is way easier (and the hotel has parking available), and you’ll pay less for pretty much everything. The metro connection is solid, and you’ll find yourself appreciating the quieter evenings when you return from a day of canal-hopping and museum visits.

Very goo place to spend a couple of days andvisit Amsterdam Room decoration is always subjective so you may like or not.
Bed was comfortable.
Room big enough for 3 people. Tv with chromecast option so you can stream from own device.
Some kitchen equipment like kettle, coffee machine, microwave., dishwasher. Some glasses and small coffee cuos available. As well as small tellers and fork and knives.
Good location close to campus where you will find small shop and restaurants.
Great connection by M53 metro line with the city center.
Parking spot available in reasonable price.
What could be improved: Sofa in a bad condition. Only a half suitable to sleep on.
Maybe I’m spoiled but I hate when it is difficult to get proper water tem at the shower immediately.
I was missing normal size cups to make some tea.
And speaking about details - the lights designer did not make his job well. Lights are just unpleasant for eyes.

What could be improved: The only thing was having to leave from one building which was a hostel to go to the Hotel section
Beautiful hotel but hard to reach via public transport beautiful studio. Has everything except a cooktop. Has fridge, dishwasher which is great. Nice bathroom. Hotel lobby is quite happening. Good vibe.
What could be improved: No cooktop in kitchen. Distance from metro. Both metro stations are 10 mins walk. Trust me its a lot with a kid and when you are on trip exhausted all the time. Even bus stand is 15 minutes away. After 2 trips to metro, i decided to take cab everytime to the city. Expensive but better than walking to metro

What could be improved: The suite was great, but I feel like there could be more in the suite building like a vending machine. Everything was in the main building, meaning having to walk across a carpark
Great place to stay with kids to travel in and out of Amsterdam What could be improved: Height restriction of car park, lots of spaces around the building that we weren’t allowed to use.
A pleasant stay in Amsterdam however not perfect VIA Suites was in a quiet location and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The set up of the apartment was as in the photos and it was in a different building to the hostel and therefore peaceful. The underground parking lot was great. The Manager Paul we spoke to regarding an issue was friendly and listened well and accepted fault and tried to make up for our disappointment which we appreciated.
What could be improved: Even though it was advertised as having TV and satellite channels, there were no TV programs and simply a TV on the wall which you could use simply to share your phone content (screen share) and this was disappointing as it was not as advertised and the excuse given was that they've installed new TVs and not connected yet however this was not acceptable as there are reviews going back as far as early March 2025 in which guests reported TV not working meaning this had been an ongoing issue however still advertising as having TV and satellite channels. We requested a refund of the remaining days as we wanted to find one with TV however was declined by Manager Paul who seemed a nice guy even though he understood and accepted fault. He tried to make us happy by offering us a free service to one of the facilities that normally costs a fee and this was appreciated however the whole issue was disappointing.
On first day after having dinner out, returned to find that even the screen share was not working and when contacted reception, was advised they're having tech issues but can only fix the next day and free breakfast and some drinks were offered for following day as a 'sorry' however Jose had failed to leave token at reception as promised and another Manager (not Paul) kept us waiting for long trying to confirm what we were saying was true and this breakfast which is called a Continental breakfast was not worth even a couple of euros. Our wasted time for a sad breakfast. Disappointing AGAIN. But to make up for the issues, they had placed some free drinks in fridge for us when we returned the second day.
In conclusion, VIA Suites is a pleasant place to stay with kind staff however must fix the issues especially the TV as guests expect and pay for what is advertised.
If above issues are resolved by Management in future, we'd definitely stay again.

What could be improved: The area is boring but very close to a metro to take you to center
Pretty good apart hotel. It exceeded our expectations. Quiet location, close to metro station. Cheap undeground parking. Deluxe room was big enough. It was nice to have kitchenware and microwave because we were staying with kids.
What could be improved: Restaurant area is quite noisy and busy in the evening. To order something to eat in the restaurant you have to wait in a queue to the bar.
Superb In a lovely, quiet area, quite distant from the overcrowded city center, from our perspective a very convenient location. There are adequate connections with the center within up to 10minutes walk.
The staff was very helpful and discrete.
We had booked a studio apartment which was very nicely set up and convenient for our family with 2 kids. Comfortable main bed and even the couch was nice. The kitchenette is not for cooking - you have a microwave in place and a fridge, which are both very useful, but no cooking is allowed. They do have a nice restaurant in the hotel and some options nearby. Supermarket was close too.
I particularly appreciated that every day they refilled the coffee capsules. Lifesaver :).
