This four-star hotel actually works brilliantly if you want to experience Amsterdam without the constant tourist chaos of the city center. The building itself is modern and sleek, nothing too flashy, but there’s something refreshing about walking into a lobby that feels calm and spacious.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I really appreciate about this spot — you’re literally a two-minute walk from Amsterdam Zuid station, which connects you to Schiphol Airport in just 8 minutes and gets you to Central Station in about 12. The area around Van Leijenberghlaan might not look like much at first glance, but it’s actually perfect for exploring both the city and the quieter southern neighborhoods. Plus, there’s decent parking if you’ve got a rental car, which is honestly a godsend in Amsterdam.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was larger than what you’d typically find in central Amsterdam — clean lines, comfortable bed, and a workspace that actually functions if you need to get some work done. The bathroom was modern with a proper shower, and I mean, after walking around Amsterdam all day, that rainfall showerhead felt pretty amazing. The soundproofing is solid too, which matters since you’re near a major transit hub.

The hotel’s restaurant serves decent international cuisine, though I’ll be honest — the real food adventure is getting into the city center or exploring the local spots nearby. What impressed me more was the breakfast spread, which had everything from fresh Dutch cheeses to proper coffee that didn’t taste like it came from a machine. The fitness center is small but well-equipped, and there’s a business center that’s actually useful.

Superb Hotel had bikes to rent for e very fair price. Very important for the Netherlands!

What could be improved: The check-in took a long time. We got to the hotel overnight and very tired they couldn't find our reservation, and had to register us on the spot. We ended up in the wrong room with people sleeping in it. When we complained we were told that the person behind all these mistakes had been fired.

Lovely hotel The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, making for a welcoming atmosphere at the hotel. The rooms were excellent, with some of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. The location is very convenient — there’s a bus stop right outside that takes you to Zuid train station, and a tram nearby for easy access to central Amsterdam. Shops, parks, and dining options are all within walking distance. We will definitely stay here again!
