First Impressions
Walking up to Miriam’s Suite Amsterdam, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical four-star hotel. The building sits quietly on Zeeburgerdijk, and there’s something refreshingly intimate about the whole setup — it feels more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place than checking into a standard hotel. The entrance has this understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard, which honestly sets the tone for everything that follows.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re in Amsterdam, but you’re not drowning in tourist crowds every time you step outside. Zeeburgerdijk puts you in a genuinely local area where you can actually experience how Amsterdammers live. The location consistently gets rave reviews (recent guests rated it 9.3), and I get why. You’re close enough to reach the city center easily, but far enough out to enjoy some breathing room. Couples especially seem to connect with this balance — they’ve given the location a perfect 10 for romantic getaways, which makes complete sense when you experience the quieter, more authentic vibe of this neighborhood.
The Suite Experience
The accommodations here live up to that “suite” promise in the name. These aren’t cramped hotel rooms where you’re bumping into furniture — there’s actual space to spread out and settle in. The design strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and Dutch character, though it never feels forced or theme-park-ish. What really impressed me was the attention to practical details that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. You know what I mean — proper storage, good lighting, surfaces where you can actually set things down.
Getting Around Amsterdam
From Miriam’s Suite Amsterdam, you’ll find that getting into the heart of the city is straightforward without being complicated by the usual tourist bottlenecks. The public transport connections work well, and if you’re the type who likes to walk or bike (this is Amsterdam, after all), the routes into town are actually quite pleasant. I found myself appreciating the journey as much as the destination — something that rarely happens when you’re staying right in the thick of things where every street corner is packed with tour groups.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.5 rating tells the real story here — this place consistently delivers on what it promises without any major surprises or disappointments. Guests seem to appreciate that refined, upscale feel without the stuffiness that sometimes comes with four-star properties. It’s the kind of place where you can have a genuine Amsterdam experience while still enjoying proper comfort and service. The fact that couples keep rating the location so highly suggests there’s something special about the atmosphere here — maybe it’s that perfect mix of urban energy and residential calm that makes Amsterdam such a compelling city in the first place.

What Our Guests Say
Exceptional Small but cosy, clean, well designed and well equipped loft studio. Hospitable and accomodating host - arranged a free early check in and left a bottle of lovely red wine for wellcome.
What could be improved: Very narrow, steep and spiral stairs to the 4th floor - difficult to climb with a big heavy suitecase.
sensational location , vibe , vfm , cozy
What could be improved: -
Charming, value for money and convenient location Excellent location with very good bus and trams connectivity to centre of Amsterdam. The neighborhood was great with a canal right beside the property and an old windmill with a micro brewery. The loft apartment was good size for two to three people as there was a large double bed and a sofa bed. Facilities were good and pleasantly the host had a bottle of lovely red wine on arrival for the guests. There was a Nespresso coffee machine and lot of different tea bags to use.
What could be improved: It was on the 4th floor in a traditional dutch style old building which was charming but it meant the stairs were narrow, spiral and steep like climbing a tree so anyone with lot of luggage or elderly people cannot stay here at all. Even people having difficulty with their mobility cannot consider this as an option.
Very cozy apartment, we liked it Very cozy, small studio apartment. There were three of us and it didn't feel cramped. Conveniently located - a tram is right outside the entrance, you can take it to the center. Comfortable bed and pillows. There is air conditioning, a refrigerator, a microwave, the kitchen is fully equipped, only a stove is missing, but we did not need it. Special thanks for the coffee machine and capsules!!! Coffee in the morning is what you need, while all the cafes are closed :)
We did not meet the owners in person, we checked in independently, the instructions were very clear - there were no problems. Finding a bottle of wine from the owners was also very nice!
The apartment is on the 4th floor and the stairs are very steep, but you have to understand that in old houses in the Netherlands this is everywhere. For us it was not a problem, although two of us are 52 and 59 years old. We always smiled while going down or up it :)))
The apartment is in the attic, which means the ceiling is slanted. However, our son, while 2 meters tall, never complained and never bumped anything, so it also wasn't an issue :)
We liked Miriam's Suite, thank you for your hospitality !
Good location with affordable price for Amsterdam - Attention to the stairs The apartment is cute, quite organized and it was clean. It had everything we needed and the owner was friendly, handled well all situations and let a very appreciated gift, which I think is a awesome detail.
The location is good, close to tram station to the center, so good for the price, since everything in Amsterdam is expensive.
What could be improved: As in all the reviews the stairs, I think should also be a warning in the description, since it`s like a climbing situation.
For us was still ok, but can be though with big luggage and for older people ( houses in Netherlands can be like this) - the quality of the apartment compensates it.
Also the bathroom is quite small, but fine for us too. And the price - 70 euros per person for a small apartment in 3 people -but again, this is Amsterdam.
Quiet, relaxing but could improve kitchen equipment and bathroom decoration. Quiet, netflix, easy to control temperature.
What could be improved: Sparsely equipped kitchen. Needs a microwave and sharp knives. Stairs not easy.
Great location for exploring Amsterdam Right outside tram stop 14 that takes you straight to central station. We had the top floor. A nice little secluded apartment with everything you need
What could be improved: Nothing really. Was a nice location. May be difficult with people with reduced mobility as it is up 4 flights of stairs that are really narrow.
Very good Great location. Within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and tram stop straight out front.
What could be improved: Stairs but very typical of Amsterdam. Just be prepared.
Small but well done up apartment. Very accommodating host. What could be improved: 4 floors to climb. Too much if u have heavy luggage. Wasn’t a problem for us as we were aware.
Exceptional Very clean and goog looking flat
