First Impressions
Walking into Leidse Square 5 star Luxury Apartment, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name — it’s a bit misleading since this is actually a four-star property, not five. But you know what? The quality here punches way above its official rating. The building sits right on Korte Leidsedwarsstraat, and you’re literally a two-minute walk from the chaos of Leidseplein — but somehow it feels tucked away from all that tourist madness.
Location & Neighborhood
This spot in Amsterdam City Centre is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without the noise keeping you up all night. I mean, you’ve got the Rijksmuseum just down the street, and those canal-side cafés that everyone raves about are practically on your doorstep. What I really loved is that you can walk to Vondelpark in about ten minutes when you need a break from all the cobblestones and crowds — trust me, your feet will thank you for that green space.
The Apartment Experience
The apartment itself feels more like staying at a well-designed friend’s place than a typical hotel room. There’s a proper kitchen with everything you actually need (not just a sad mini-fridge and kettle), which came in handy when we grabbed fresh stroopwafels from the Albert Cuyp Market. The space has this clean, modern Dutch aesthetic — lots of natural light, smart storage solutions, and those tall windows that make you feel like you’re living in an actual Amsterdam canal house.
Practical Details
One thing that surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re right in the center of everything. The building’s parking situation is… well, it’s Amsterdam, so don’t expect miracles, but they do help arrange spots nearby if you’re brave enough to drive here. The nearest tram stop is literally around the corner, which makes getting to places like the Anne Frank House or Dam Square pretty effortless. There’s also a decent restaurant downstairs that does proper Dutch breakfast — none of that continental nonsense with stale pastries.
Why Guests Love It
Look, that 9.9 rating isn’t just inflated review scores — this place genuinely gets the details right. The staff actually knows the neighborhood and can point you toward the good local spots instead of just handing you a generic tourist map. It’s one of those rare places where you feel like you’re experiencing Amsterdam as locals do, rather than just checking boxes off some travel blog list. Plus, having your own space means you can start your day with proper coffee instead of whatever hotel lobby situation is happening elsewhere.

What Our Guests Say
Very nice accommodation in Amsterdam and worth the money. Spotlessly clean with all the amenities. Helpful staff and in a great location.
Home from home On our arrival we were welcomed by our very friendly host. She gave us a guide around the property, and immediately we felt at home. She was able to recommend restaurants and where to find the closest supermarket. It was very much appreciated
We had an excellent stay and would stay here again! We loved that we were within walking distance of so many things we wanted to see.
What could be improved: There were a few rowdy folks on the street early in the morning but we would stay here again. The stairs were very steep and narrow
Exceptional apartment in the heart of Amsterdam This apartment is exceptional, I don’t think you can find a better one. Superb location, beautiful inside, spacious and luxurious. Host was brilliant and so friendly. A home away from home!
What could be improved: Nothing, it was perfect.
Great apartment in a nice location We had an amazing time staying at this apartment! Great host and a wonderful apartment.. We got some nice recommendations where to eat at and we will come back for sure!
A five stars property with amazing host! The property is truly 5 stars quality. First of all, Kathy is a great host that truly cares for her guests. In terms of the property, bedding was very comfortable, cleanliness and hospitality was top notch. They even provided a jar full of nespresso pods for free which was very much appreciated. We especially love the special quokker hot water tap and filtered water dispenser. Location is unbeatable as it is very close to 9th street, bloemenmarket, and museum area. Overall, we had an amazing experience and will highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Amsterdam!
What could be improved: None.
Highly recommend for group travelers We were on vacation with group of girls and we had an amazing time. The apartment is centrally located close to everything on the quiet street but close to all of the fun stuff itself was so cute so comfortable and the host. Kathy was amazing.
What could be improved: Love the coziness of the apartment and locations
Excellent Very clean, great location, excellent and responsive hosts.
What could be improved: Nothing
Great accommodation for a family with all the luxuries too Such a great stay for my family
First time visiting Amsterdam and the apartment was perfect and Kathy a wonderful host.
What could be improved: Nothing
Wonderful apartment and location to explore Amsterdam! Kathy, the owner, was incredibly helpful and warm! We left someth Great location; modern apartment with thoughtful touches.
What could be improved: Shower was hard to manage without the bathroom floor getting wet - certainly not a dealbreaker! It’s an open shower concept and they have a swiffer-style mop to soak up the water.
