The Bijlmer area has this incredible multicultural vibe that most visitors never discover, with amazing Surinamese and Caribbean spots just around the corner. Plus, you can hop on the metro and be in Centraal Station in about 20 minutes, which honestly beats dealing with canal-side crowds every single day.

The room I stayed in had this perfect balance — modern without being sterile, cozy without feeling cramped. What impressed me most was the attention to detail; they’ve clearly thought about what actual travelers need, not just what looks good in photos. The windows are properly soundproofed too, which you’ll appreciate since Quashibastraat can get a bit lively in the evenings.

What Our Guests Say
Excellent stay at a good quiet location for cycleseeing Easy to find due to the striking appearance. Cathalijne and Cees, the landlords, were always very quick to help. The flat itself is very nice and situated in a quiet area. We rented bikes so it was also very easy to then cycle to the east or cycle to city centre.
What could be improved: The local area is currently under construction but that's out of the landlords control. It meant that it takes longer to reach the city centre where most tourist attractions are by tram although we used bikes so didn't face this as an issue. The local bike shop is closed on Sundays so we had to rent bikes from the centre.
Exceptional The property was exactly as advertised. The kitchen was well equipped, beds cosy and very quiet. A 15 minute walk to the tram takes you in to Amsterdam Central. Some great restaurants near by. Owners provided a great overview of things to do, food and shopping in the area. Would stay again

Superb We loved the fact it was out away from the city, 20 mins on the tram was perfect , very easy to get in and out of city.
What could be improved: The only thing was the area is a new development, alot of building work going on, which wasn't a problem(we were told once it was booked ) but we felt we could have been told how to navigate the area, a lot of roads were blocked off, took us a while to figure out how to walk where we needed to get to. Once the development is complete i think it will be a beautiful spot.

What could be improved: Nothing.
Ideal for a quiet stay in Amsterdam. We were welcomed to this modern apartment by our host and found it clean, comfortable and well furnished. It is in a very quiet area well away from the busy city. There are two good supermarkets about 15 mins walk away. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There are some DVDs and a DVD player alongside the TV which only has local channels. The tram services are excellent and are 15 - 20 mins walk away from the flat. There is a huge beach and attractive harbour within 10 -15 mins walk. There are a selection of bars and restaurants at the harbour. There is a sunny balcony(afternoon) on the back of the flat, with table and chairs, which overlooks a large garden area/car park/other flats. This is accessed from both bedrooms . There is building work going on at the front of the house but it is no problem.
What could be improved: This flat might not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems as there is quite a walk from the tram and two flights of concrete stairs up to the flat. I would be a bit concerned about young children staying here ( excited / running around), as the stairs open right into the middle of the flat with no door or safety gate and we did have a trip hazard, on the top step, pointed out to us.
Each bedroom would benefit from a mirror and a choice of softer pillows. The second bedroom has no hanging space - just shelves in the cupboard.
A slip mat in the shower would be good for safety.
The kitchen worktop and cupboards are higher than usual but a small stepladder is provided !

Exceptional Really friendly hosts, very quiet and peaceful location outside of Amsterdam city centre. Very spacious, clean and modern apartment. Highly recommend as a place to stay.
