The building itself has that classic Amsterdam charm without being overly touristy about it.
Location & Getting Around
You’re basically in the cultural heart of the city here on Plantage Middenlaan. The Artis Zoo is literally around the corner, and the Jewish Cultural Quarter is a five-minute walk — I mean, you can’t get much more central than this. What I really appreciate is that you’re close enough to walk to Dam Square in about fifteen minutes, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant noise of drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully arranged — typical Amsterdam style where every square meter counts. The beds are actually comfortable (not always a given in this price range), and there’s decent storage space for your stuff. The bathroom is small but functional, with a shower that has proper water pressure. Nothing fancy, but everything works as it should.

Great option for an Amsterdam stay! Great location with easy access right outside the doors to a tram stop that services the major areas. Offered luggage storage which was great, as well as a great front desk team which were helpful. The room was also great, with a spacious bathroom and comfortable beds.
What could be improved: The shower door was partially missing so there was a lot of water spraying into the bathroom, which was a bit annoying.
Great location away from crowds but convenient. Location was excellent. Peaceful with excellent food options near by. Tram stop in front so it was an easy ride to the center (though also good for walking. Room was a good size. Twin beds could be moved to be next to each other as 1 bed or split to be 2).
