This three-star property doesn’t try to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well. The building has that classic Amsterdam charm without feeling stuffy, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. You’re literally steps from Central Station, which sounds like it might be noisy, but the rooms are surprisingly quiet.

Here’s what I love about staying here — you can walk to pretty much everything that matters in Amsterdam. The Anne Frank House is about a 10-minute stroll, and you’re right on the edge of the Red Light District without being in the middle of all the chaos. Couples seem to really get this location (they rate it 9.3, which is pretty impressive), and I can see why. You’ve got easy tram connections right outside, but honestly, you probably won’t need them much since the Jordaan, Dam Square, and all those postcard-perfect canals are within walking distance.

The Rooms

The rooms at Hotel Mansion are what I’d call “smart small” — they’re not huge, but they’re thoughtfully laid out. You know how some Amsterdam hotels can feel cramped? This place actually makes good use of the space they have. The beds are comfortable, and there’s decent storage for your stuff, which matters when you’re living out of a suitcase. It’s the kind of place where you’ll spend most of your time out exploring anyway, but you’ll appreciate having a solid, well-located base to come back to.
