Maritimer Wochenendtrip nach Amsterdam Die Lage ist fantastisch für ein WE in Amsterdam. Wir hatten Räder dabei und konnten damit problemlos die Tram erreichen. Ohne ist es natürlich etwas abseits gelegen und die Wege sind ggf. länger, dafür ist die Aussicht auf Amsterdam City einfach wunderschön und das Erlebnis Hausboot etwas Besonderes. Casey hat uns persönlich empfangen, über alles rund um die Unterkunft informiert und uns über Parkmöglichkeiten, tolle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe fürs Frühstück informiert und noch spontan eine Reservierung für den Abend für uns vorgenommen. Die Kommunikation rund um den Aufenthalt via Nachrichten und Handy war super. Alles war sehr sauber. Rund um den Aufenthalt auf dem Hausboot gibt es ein paar Dinge zu beachten, damit alles schön und funktionsfähig ist und bleibt. Wer schon auf kleineren Schiffen war, den überrascht das aber auch nicht. Der Zugang auf dem Steg ist mit einem Tor gesichert, mit dem ich mich etwas schwer getan habe. Gleichzeitig bietet das aber auch Sicherheit für Fahrrad und Co. dahinter, also zweckmäßig und sinnvoll. Es gibt wie gesagt ein paar Regeln rund um die sanitären Anlagen, die ungewohnt sind, aber auch das ist notwendig. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen.
What could be improved: Es ist alles sehr reduziert auf das Nötigste und beengt das ist jedoch nur normal auf einem Schiff und gehört dazu, muß man aber wissen und wollen.
Ein wundervolles Abendteuer bei dem man die Seele baumeln lassen kann und durchweg entspannen kann. Die Lage ist aussergewöhnlich. Man hat den Puls der Stadt, aber auch die Ruhe des Landurlaubs. Casey ist sehr nett, sehr ruhig, erklärt alles wichtige am Anfang. Das Zimmer ist großzügig, man kann sich eine Kleinigkeit zu Essen zubereiten. Alles ist sauber. Und der Ausblick und die frische Luft sind toll. Das Zimmer ist sehr ruhig gelegen und mit dem leichten schaukeln, schläft es sich sehr gut.
We wish we had stayed longer there! The location for us was wonderful. It's not downtown, but easy to get around for us by using Uber. The boat does rock a little with the waves which we found soothing. Our only regret is we should have stayed longer. Casey is a wonderful host, and he took us to the local grocery so we could stock up on food.
What could be improved: We stayed towards the end of August which meant spiders doing what they do. But since we live in the county at home it didn't bother us much, we're used to it.
Amazing location & unique experience This houseboat is a haven of peace with amazing views. Room is cosy and well thought with comfy bed and designed sanitary. Location is unique and City is easy to reach by bicycles. Free parking within a walking distance. Casey is very friendly & helpful. I’ll come back without hesitation

Herrlichste Tage in Amsterdam Es war einfach schön! Caseys hat das Hausboot wunderschön und handwerklich perfekt hergerichtet und ausgebaut, mit seinen eigenen Händen, das muss man wirklich mal anerkennen.
Unser Zimmer und das Boot überhaupt haben unsere Erwartungen weit übertroffen.
Es ist etwas abgelegen aber dann doch wieder nicht (zu Fuß zum Supermarkt 15min), das letzte Boot an den Stegen und entsprechend traumhaft der Ausblick.

Lovely experience but a little far out! Unique place to stay.
What could be improved: Didn’t realise it was a shared boat, and that it was so far outside of the city centre. We drive mostly or a good 15 min walk to the tram.
Our stay was amazing. Because we like an adventure. The property’s was quirky as is the location The location and property was unique.
What could be improved: There was no iron facility. The heating was not working as described so we could not get it on when needed and came on when we didn’t expect. The toaster is faulty as you have to hold the lever down to work. There was a lot of noise with the banging of the boat against something and the waves against the boat as we had bad weather so be mindful of this. So if you are a light sleeper be mindful of this. Along with if you have motion sickness as I do although sickness tablets given by the owner worked a treat.
Beautiful location Location of the boat is beautiful. The sunsets are fantastic. Great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city each day to return to more rural scenic surroundings. Bed is really comfortable. The room has been well thought out in terms of a good design. It was a good experience.
What could be improved: Minimal cooking facilities so although self catering and advertised as having a kitchinette this only consists of a toaster and kettle. Luckily we only bought food from a local market that could be eaten fresh however if we had bought anything that did require cooking/heating we would have been disappointed on our return to the boat. No chopping board or knife to prepare food. Would also benefit from a hook or two near the bathroom to hang towels.
Exceptional The owner is great and the place worth the price you pay. Very close to the central station, only 5 minutes by tram. Great place
