First Impressions
Walking up to Bohemian loft on Rustenburgerstraat, you might actually miss it at first — and that’s sort of the point. This four-star gem sits quietly among the typical Amsterdam row houses, but once you step inside, you realize you’ve found something special. The entrance feels more like walking into a friend’s incredibly stylish apartment than a traditional hotel.
Location & Neighborhood
You’re in De Pijp here, which honestly might be my favorite part of Amsterdam. The Albert Cuyp Market is literally around the corner — I mean, you can smell the fresh stroopwafels from the hotel some mornings. Museumplein and the Van Gogh Museum are about a 10-minute walk, but you’ll probably get distracted by all the cafés and vintage shops along the way. The tram connections are solid too, though you’ll find yourself walking everywhere because this neighborhood just draws you in.
The Space
Each room here feels like its own little world — they’ve really nailed that loft aesthetic without making it feel cold or industrial. The ceilings are high, the windows are huge, and there’s this perfect balance of exposed brick and warm textures. What I love is that they’ve included a proper kitchenette in most units, which actually comes in handy when you want to grab fresh ingredients from the market and just cook something simple. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious for Amsterdam standards, and the rain showers are exactly what you need after a day of cycling around the canals.
Amenities & Atmosphere
There’s no formal restaurant on-site, but that’s kind of the beauty of this place — it encourages you to explore the incredible food scene right outside your door. The staff keeps things low-key but helpful; they’ll point you toward the best local spots without that pushy concierge vibe. Parking can be tricky in this area (welcome to Amsterdam), but they’ve got arrangements with nearby garages, and honestly, you probably won’t need a car anyway.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s that rare place that feels both design-forward and genuinely comfortable. You get the authentic Amsterdam experience without sacrificing modern amenities, and the De Pijp location means you’re living like a local rather than just visiting. I keep coming back because it strikes this perfect balance between style and substance, and you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you need in a city that can feel overwhelming with options.
Locals suggest to book apartments in Amsterdam around Oud-West for artisan bakeries, vintage shops, and leafy squares.

What Our Guests Say
Cute quirky place! What could be improved: The front door was hard to open, the stove needed a lighter and the one in the unit was empty, and the fridge was left on a setting that wasn't very cold when we arrived. Also no place to put our clothes like drawers or hangers or anything.
Very good The Flat was very cosy and the location was perfect. There are many restaurant and cafes near by this flat.
What could be improved: Some details could have been clener.
I will definitely return! Bohemian Loft is an absolutely stunning place where the host, Wilma, has thoughtfully designed everything for the comfort of her guests. This place exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely return. Everything was exceptional—every detail in the apartment is crafted with love, and you can truly feel the care for the guest. Plus, the location is perfect!
10/10, without a doubt!
What could be improved: -
Very relaxed and cozy. Wonderful apartment in De Pijp - everything you need with a great vibe. Wilma is a great host. Indeed, highly recommended.
We felt like locals in a self-catering bohemian style apartment with great city access via tram. Bohemian loft is how it sounds, a small self-catering apartment with eclectic decor in the residential area of De Pijp. Fantastic location for food and drink, and easy tram access to the rest of Amsterdam. We felt very much at home and enjoyed the quiet street.
What could be improved: We were fine with the stairs, but they would not be for everyone, The loft is 2 stories up and the staircases in traditional Amsterdam houses are an experience. Steep is not the word. It was fine for us, but don't go for this if you have problems with stairs. They are narrow and have corners you have to ascend and descend more like a ladder. Luggage is best back-pack style, lugging suitcases up would be more difficult. But really not a problem for most people as long as you are prepared.
Lovely, recommend! It is a cosy and lovely place, with a lot of personality! The bed is comfortable and the location is wonderful. The host is very helpful and nice. We loved our stay here!
What could be improved: we really enjoyed everything, but maybe for the future, the bathtub should be a bit more easily accessible and the toilet seat & shower head changed.
Fabulous It was in a perfect central location and was very comfortably furnished. The owner was lovely and helpful. We loved the little balcony. A perfect place to relax after sightseeing.
What could be improved: The stairs are very steep which is quite typical of this city which was not a problem for us but I would not recommend if you have large suitcases.
The stay is worth the price if you are looking for a home-like hotel. Very good location with convenient public transportation. The room is exotic decorated and old-fashioned and gives a different feeling compared to normal hotels. The kitchen is well equipped you can cook some simple dishes.
What could be improved: The apartment is bit old.
Perfect couples retreat to Amsterdam for a few days! We had the most amazing stay at this apartment - it was very clean and very well equipped for everything we needed for a short city break! We loved the decor and the location, there is amazing access to the city centre via De Pijp station.
What could be improved: The shower pressure and temperature could’ve been a bit better :)
Superb The apartment was cosy, quirky and very well located, just like in the photos. I felt truly a part of Amsterdam and out of the touristy areas of the city, with excellent access to the amazing experience of the renowned weekend flea market just two blocks away, very convenient to the museum quarter, great restaurants and a very welcoming and kind host. The decoration in the apartment was adorable and very artsy and the entire place a perfect Amsterdam nest to retreat to after a hectic day in the city.
