The Noord Factor
Here’s the thing about staying in Amsterdam Noord — it’s not the tourist circus of the city center, and honestly, that’s exactly why I loved it. You’re literally across the water from all the action, but getting there is half the fun with those free ferries running every few minutes. The neighborhood around Ridderspoorweg has this cool, slightly edgy feel with converted warehouses and local cafes that tourists haven’t discovered yet.
The Room Experience
My room was compact but cleverly designed — I mean, they really maximized every inch without making it feel cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the shower had decent water pressure (always a win in my book). What I appreciated most was the attention to small details, like proper reading lights and enough outlets for all your devices.
Getting Around and Amenities
The ferry connection is honestly brilliant — it takes maybe ten minutes to get to Centraal Station, and you get these amazing views of the city skyline during the crossing. Back at the hotel, there’s secure parking if you’re driving, which is actually a big deal in Amsterdam. The staff genuinely seemed to care about helping guests figure out the best routes and timing for exploring the city.

What could be improved: Shower caddy isn't good as it gets in the way of the door, and bathroom sink was blocked. Both minor issues. I would be happy to book the again
Recommended for family with babies Staff was very accommodating to our needs since we had a small baby with us. We were 3 adults with a baby. The room had a full kitchen with stove and oven where you can cook. The shower and toilet were separate. The location was perfect for us, not crowded and not too far from Amsterdam center and public transportation was at 5mins walking distance.
Superb Location and amenities, very friendly stuff
Great Quiet location away from the old town. Easy to walk to walk to ferry (15mins) and bus (5mins) to get to old town.
Property was clean and the team very attentive fixed a minor issue quickly after being notified
What could be improved: The bathroom doesn’t have a door; just a curtain.
Cozy and outside the center of Amsterdam Very comfortable and quiet.
What could be improved: We only had one trash bag. There wasn’t a bright light in the bedroom on the side where the tv was.

Lovely stay & Ideal Location Very mordern designed. The shower is excellent and location was alot better than we thought. Any dealings with staff they were pleasent towards us.
We read reviews and was a little skeptical as they were poorly rated but we were not disappointed after arrival.
What could be improved: A more private door to divide the 2 rooms
It was great the restaurant downstairs was fabulous for breakfast or brunch. The location was perfect. Just a short 15 minute walk to the ferry to get to Amsterdam Central. It runs 24 hours and it's free
What could be improved: Unfortunately the parking remote was not in our room and had a bit of back and forth to get one, but they went the Xtra mile to sole the mishap
New and cosy apartment The apartment looked very new. It was cosy and clean, and both the bed and sofa bed were very comfy.
The shower had good water pressure and was very fast to warm up.
Check in process was simple and even though it was not in central Amsterdam, it was not too long to get into the centre (one bus or a bus then ferry)
What could be improved: The shower didn't drain very well, so often you would be standing in a pool of water. Also the shower door was hard to close
