First Impressions
Walking up to Bed and Stay Amsterdam in Amsterdam Noord, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect — this part of Amsterdam feels refreshingly different from the tourist-packed center. The four-star property sits quietly on Het Nopeind, and you know what struck me first? The fact that there’s actually free parking right on site. If you’ve ever tried to park anywhere near Amsterdam’s main attractions, you’ll understand why this alone makes the place worth considering.
The Noord Advantage
Here’s the thing about staying in Amsterdam Noord — it’s like discovering the city’s best-kept secret. You’re just a quick ferry ride away from Centraal Station (and that ferry ride is actually pretty charming), but you get to experience a more authentic, residential side of Amsterdam. The neighborhood has this cool, artsy vibe with converted warehouses and local cafes that tourists rarely stumble upon. I mean, couples seem to really get it — they consistently rate the location 8.5 out of 10, which tells you something about the romantic appeal of being slightly off the beaten path.
Your Room and Rest
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d want after a day of exploring — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without being overly fussy. What I appreciated most was the attention to practical details. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in. The whole place has this relaxed, residential feel that makes you forget you’re in a hotel at all.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast here is refreshingly straightforward — they offer a solid continental spread that actually fills you up for the day ahead. But here’s what I found clever: they also do breakfast to go if you’re the type who wants to grab something and head out early to beat the crowds at the museums. It’s one of those small touches that shows they understand how people actually travel, rather than just assuming everyone wants to linger over coffee for hours.
Why Guests Love It
With a 9.5 rating, this place clearly gets something right, and honestly, I think it comes down to authenticity. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or doormen in top hats — you’re getting a genuinely well-run hotel in a part of Amsterdam that feels real. The location scores consistently high (recent guests rated it 9.2) because it offers that perfect balance of accessibility and local flavor. Plus, let’s be practical — having free parking in Amsterdam is like finding a unicorn, and the ferry connections mean you can still hit all the major sights without the hassle and expense of staying right in the thick of things. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special, rather than just booked another generic hotel room.

What Our Guests Say
Amazing holiday on a farm near Amsterdam It is a very nice place on a farm with very friendly dog, cats and even hens. We got free eggs from a secret nest and they were delicious! Harry and Chantel were really friendly and explained us everything (e.g. how the public transport works and even promised to deal with the driver if he wont let us in. 😂) Whats more, it is only 20 minutes of walk to the bus station so you can enjoy the beautiful landscape of Netherlands on the way to Amsterdam. There were also really comfortable beds so we can 100% recommend it. 👍
It was special, The family love the farm and nature Every thing was perfect, it was truly beautiful stay with the family
What could be improved: The nature the farm and the organization, really appreciate Harry’s help
We recommend this accomodation and would come back again Great location close to Amsterdam, great owner, gabe us tops, fresh eggs from farm and delicius home made ice cream
Exceptional Beautiful cottage at the countryside of Amsterdam, with frigobar, cooking place. Various animals and a lot of green for you to disconnect your problems and relax.
What could be improved: Location is kind of a bit away, requires some planning for early tours, and to come back at night. Nothing impossible .
Exceptional Very nice guest and cosy tiny house
A superb vacation for the family! Harry and Chantele are absolutely fantastic hosts! The Bed and Breakfast was located in a rural area, just outside of Amsterdam, with lots of farm animals around (dog, cats, hens, birds and even cows!). My little one loved it! Nice and quiet, very cosy! It's a way you get to see both the center of Amsterdam and the nearby village life. Absolutely superb!
What could be improved: The lack of public transportation nearby is a drawback. However, Harry and Chantele are more than eager to give you a lift, should that be necessary. We downloaded the Uber app and used taxis from our place to Amsterdam Noord station (costs about 10 euros). We also used the GVB app for the public transportation tickets. If you ask me, I would do it again. It's a very small price to pay if you want to experience both the city of Amsterdam and at the same time get to see the outdoors of the Dutch.
Amazing experience in amazing place with kind owners. We spent couple of days in this amazing place, the owners were extremely friendly and kind, the property is in a perfect place surrounded by nature and amazing views and makes you relaxed!
We tried everything made locally like the great ice cream, cheese - thank you Harry and Chantel for everything! You made us very happy and we will definitely come back again whenever we visit Amsterdam ☺️
What could be improved: Nothing I can mention.
Excellent :) The owners of the property are an incredibly friendly and welcoming family. They kindly allowed us to store our luggage before check-in time and even offered us the opportunity to hold a goat and see cows running around in the fields.
The house itself is fantastic - clean, cosy, and with comfortable beds. Although there is no microwave, it has everything else you need to make yourself at home.
Additionally, there are some super fun trampolines to enjoy!
What could be improved: The setting is beautiful, and although there may be more mosquitoes than I would like, it's all part of being surrounded by nature.
Great cottage, convenient location, good host The host Harry was great. He advised us on easiest route into the city and was there if we needed anything. The little cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Although the location is outside Amsterdam central we enjoyed the fact that it was in the countryside. It was close enough to take public transport into the centre.
What could be improved: Nothing
Exceptional Beautiful place, great friendly hosts, very close to the city and with a lot of nature around.
