First Impressions
B&B Sloterpark sits quietly on Aristotelesstraat, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. This four-star bed and breakfast feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed home than a typical hotel. The owners clearly put thought into every detail — from the moment you walk through the front door, you can tell this isn’t your standard Amsterdam accommodation.
The Neighborhood Reality
Geuzenveld-Slotermeer isn’t where most tourists end up, but that’s actually what I loved about it. You’re in real Amsterdam here, where locals grab their morning coffee and kids bike to school. The nearby Sloterpark (yes, the B&B takes its name from the park) is perfect for morning runs or just escaping the city buzz. It’s about a 15-minute tram ride to the center, which means you get the best of both worlds — easy access to all the tourist stuff, but you can actually sleep at night.
Your Space
The room I stayed in was spotless and surprisingly spacious for Amsterdam standards. Each guest space has its own character — mine had this great reading nook by the window where I’d sit with coffee in the mornings. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not always a given at B&Bs), and the Wi-Fi actually works everywhere, which you know matters when you’re trying to plan your day.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast is where B&B Sloterpark really shines. The hosts serve it in a bright common area that feels like a proper dining room, not some cramped corner. We’re talking fresh bread, local cheeses, good coffee — the kind of spread that makes you linger longer than you planned. I mean, after a few days of hotel continental breakfast disappointments elsewhere, this felt like a proper meal.
Why Guests Love It
What sets this place apart is the personal touch without being intrusive. The hosts know Amsterdam inside and out — they’ll point you toward that little restaurant locals actually go to, or tell you which tram to take to avoid the crowds. Parking is available if you’re driving, which is rare and valuable in this city. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you experience the attention to detail firsthand. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’ve discovered something special, not just booked another room for the night.

What Our Guests Say
Exceptional Everything was good, clean comfortable room and Monique was very nice.
What could be improved: Nothing was bad.
Exceptional Very close to tram station, very clean and comfortable!
Exceptional Super clean with exceptional attention to detail. The apartment provided all the comforts, including AC, a hair dryer, and a Nespresso coffee machine, plus a bicycle in excellent condition. Situated in a beautiful neighborhood by the lake, the location was perfect. Monique was an absolutely amazing host, very thorough and understanding. Highly recommend!
Exceptional Lovely apartment, great location, friendly owner.
Perfect Thanks for everything Madam :)
This worked perfectly for me. Three Uber rides back however always left me five blocks away for some unknown reason. Clean and spacious.
What could be improved: Circular stair case. But hey this is the Netherlands
Great house with a friendly host :) Owner of the property, Monique was very friendly and helpful. The house was equipped with everything, she even left us some candies, drink, coffee, tea and etc. We did an early check-in, location was not close to city center, but we knew it before we booked so it wasn’t a problem for us. As it was a little far from center it was a quiet place. Worth to stay for 2 days, even more
Peaceful Retreat in Amsterdam Monique’s chic flat is in a beautiful, safe and calm neighbourhood, surrounded by gardens and a very quick walk from a lovely lake. Everything we needed was at the apartment including beverages and fun snacks. There was even a little hotel safe. The linens were crisp and white, everything was exquisitely clean. What luxury! The location was perfect, steps from the (cash-free) #7 tram line that went exactly to the Rijksmuseum every fifteen minutes. Getting around could not have been easier. There is a sweet little spiral staircase coming up to the flat from the entrance foyer and shower/toilet to the spacious and airy main floor. From every window of our aerie were calming views of green trees, bliss! Our host was attentive and considerate. I can’t imagine a more pleasant stay.
What could be improved: We could not be happier with our visit.
Beautiful place to stay in a quiet, residential part of Amsterdam. I loved the decor! The place was so cute, which made the stay much better.
What could be improved: No kitchen to cook anything, and the TV is hard to configure if you don’t understand Dutch.
Exceptional Everything it was perfect
