The building has this understated charm — it’s not trying to impress anyone from the outside, but once you step inside, you realize that’s exactly the point. The owners have created something genuinely special here, and the 9.6 rating speaks for itself.
Location & Getting Around
Zuidoost isn’t the tourist center most people think of when they picture Amsterdam, but that’s actually what makes this spot interesting. You’re in a real neighborhood where locals live and work, about 20 minutes from the canal ring by metro. The Bijlmer ArenA station is your gateway to the city center, and you know what? Sometimes it’s nice to escape the crowds of Damrak and come back to somewhere that feels more authentic.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — every inch serves a purpose without feeling cramped. The bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the modern touches like USB outlets near the nightstand show they’ve thought about what travelers actually need. The bathroom was spotless, with a powerful shower that didn’t flood the floor — small details, but they matter when you’re staying somewhere for several days.
Breakfast & Daily Touches
Breakfast happens in a cozy communal area that feels more like someone’s dining room than a hotel setup. The spread isn’t elaborate, but everything’s fresh and local — proper Dutch cheese, good bread, decent coffee. The hosts (and I mean the actual owners, not staff) often chat with guests about the best local spots to visit. They recommended a Vietnamese restaurant around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals in Amsterdam.

Calm, clean, close to the center. The host was very helpful with everything I needed and was very kind. He really cares about you and doing his job with love. In the place, everything was clean. I really loved the mornings with the host’s breakfast:) Also in front of the place, there is a wide area (includes a park) that you can chill and get a fresh air. The location is nearly 40mins to the city center. The place is very close to the metro station so it was very easy to travel. There is a laundry place very close to the location, it’s clean and with good staff.
It was a very lovely and unforgettable stay for me. Thank you for making it nicer ^_^ and thanks to Muffin for her cuteness🤩🥰
A wonderful stay! Franz was a lovely host! He was warm and amiable, very attentive to detail, and prepared the most luxurious breakfast. The room was comfortable and very well maintained, and the area is very peaceful away from the bustling city while not too far from the metro/buses! There was also a reasonably priced laundry shop nearby, which was helpful.
What could be improved: The stairs leading up to the room are beautiful, though a bit narrow on one side due to the spiral design. Be careful if you have larger sized luggage.
Highly recommend this beautiful BnB A beautiful modern BnB with exceptional hospitality. Franz is the perfect host who seems to have thought of everything to ensure you have a comfortable stay. As a solo traveler it felt like coming “home” every day.
What could be improved: The BnB is a 30-45 minute Metro ride from central Amsterdam however this is quite manageable with such an efficient transport system. Definitely worth the journey to have such nice accommodation.

*** Everything was perfect. Five minutes walk away from the train station and the distance by train was 20 minutes away from downtown. Train time always around 10 minutes waiting time.

Superb Super B&B!
The room is comfortable and very tidy, every detail is cared of, from towels to essentials. The host is a really nice person, kind and attentive. We could secure our bikes, which is a plus in Amsterdam. Amazing breakfast, with fresh fruit, pastries, sandwiches and everything you can ask for. The stricture is 5 min walking from the metro station, in a quite area of the town.
